Date:
 3rd June 2014

Time:
11.00am

Key people/ Subject in the photo:
 1. View from outside the gallery space.
2. Lighting of the space.
3. Side wall of the space.
4. Main entrance of the gallery space.
5. Back of the gallery space.

Focus of frame:
1. Open windows/mirrors.
2. Fluorescent light used.
3. Empty space provided.
4. Big window space on the door.
5. Opened widows behind and doors on the side.

The action /event:
 Space visit.

Location:
A gallery space located inside the library.

Why is the photo important/ significant:
1. shows the inside of the gallery.
2. Lighting helps make the artwork nicer.
3. Artworks can be hanged/placed here.
4. shows the inside of the gallery.
5. Natural lighting from outside and exit door.

Challenge faced:
1. The mirror is too big basically showing the whole gallery from the outside.
2. Lighting is too direct and can’t show the artwork stand out.
3. Big space to organize and place artworks.
4. Too big window shows the whole inside gallery and lighting from outside makes the gallery look not professionalize.
5. Natural sunlight from outside might ruined the printed paintings/artwork in the gallery. Two side doors on the sides looks hanging as they are very blunt and does not fit the gallery theme.

Analysis of issue:
1. Mirror should show parts of the gallery and not too much to increase the curiousness of the audience.
2. Should change to smaller lights and can be adjusted so that the artworks can stand out more to improve the value and quality.
3 .Artworks can be easily and greatly organized.
4. Main entrance should be completely shut to show the impact of the gallery when audience enters.
5. Windows should be completely covered and the doors on the side should be covered to make it more comfortable and ease for the audience to see the gallery.

Color and emotion:

Bright colours makes me feel relaxing and the colours are not very confusing. It is all clear and gives out relaxing feels.

Additional comments:

The gallery space could be of bigger due to the amount of students in the college is adding and more artwork need to be shown and appreciated.

Task 3 - What is a Curator?

What is the difference of a curator in a Museum and a curator in a Gallery ?

A curator in a museum and a curator in a gallery shares the same responsibilities and most of them are mainly focused in collecting the specific collection of artifacts and artworks to be presented.

But they also deal with other stuffs such as raising funds, public relations and also relation building between both internal and external partners or shareholders.

Task 3 - Cabinet of curiosity.

For this task, we were divided into small groups and is to visit a nearby town called Mantin and bring back items for a project named Cabinet of Curiousity.

The Durians in Mantin townb is said to be famous and delicious, we had also saw many of it being sell at most of thew fruit stalls resulting my group and I had decided on having a fruit stall be our theme for the project.

For my part in the group, I am in-charge of the displaying and layout of the project for presentation.
