Image Analysis Task

Based on the image above that I have chosen, an analysis of its content were to be made and discussed based on our understanding and what we see in it. 

My analysis- The subject of the photo shoot is surrealism.

Context : 

The lighting balanced is mostly white as it is taken outdoor.

Its symbolic as it represents the lifestyle that we don't have but are inspired to have.

The typography of the image is bad. The pink colour in the font is trying to blend in the image but turn out to be bad as it doesn't match at all. 

The font and its type doesn't match at all and its really don't suit the image. 

The letter makes the image more worst when the letter G and T in the text is being cropped out and feels weird. 

The image represents advertising as it is selling lifestyle to us. 

Sub-culture (web design)

 We were given task that is to make a web design based on my previous sub-culture that I have chosen and that is Hip Hop culture.

Analysis Tasks

The analysis of the web design for Hip hop culture is for users which are not certain or are interested in knowing more about the hip hop culture in Malaysia. The theme is mostly random and free as hip hop is all about freestyle and also self expressing. The design could me more random and free as if the big black round design could be taken away and the navigation buttons were to be separated more freely. 

The website is made to introduce the hip hop culture to peoples and the layout and designs can be improved more by arranging the images and navigation buttons more randomly and also by putting more related images and not just graffiti as it may gives people some wrong idea of the whole culture. 

The colour scheme of the web design is great and successfully portrays the hip hop feeling in it. While the arrangement of the images and also navigation buttons are the problem as it still gives and order feel to people when the theme that were supposed to be sending is to be free and random. 

The website was intend to be free and random without grids and patterns. But it ended with some arrangements without being realized and end up had failed the original intention to make the web site free,easy and fun to the people coming to the website.
